Greco-Latin Mythology in "Libro de poemas" by Federico García Lorca

Alí Calderón

Abstract

Starting from the cultural and social principle that each era has its own
characteristics, a mode of development that can be glimpsed in its way
of living the events it has to face and in its artistic expression; the objective
of this work is to make a general study of recent Mexican poetry, in
order to draw lines of similarities and differences between the different
authors proposed here. We can thus make a comparison between the different
poetics, styles and themes; as well as see — in the time span that
goes from 1980 to 2020 — in what way the aesthetics and ideas about the
poetic fact have been able to be modified. In this way, we intend to defend
that recent Mexican poetry has been a true laboratory for literary
history, a field of action where poetry has managed to reinvent itself as
well as in other traditions.
